HOW TO JOIN THE

GEOLOGICAL SOCIETY OF IOWA

Anyone with an interest in the geology and natural history of Iowa and an appreciation for the beauty of the Iowa landscape is encouraged to join the Geological Society of Iowa and participate in our twice-yearly field trips. You need not be a professional geologist or even a serious student of geology.

There are three classes of membership in the GSI:

MEMBER - anyone engaged in geological work. research,

or teaching as a major part of their career

AFFILIATE MEMBER anyone interested in the earth sciences

HONORARY MEMBER the Board of Directors may elect anyone to


honorary membership who has contributed distinguished
service to the cause of geology or the GSI

Only MEMBERS may hold office or vote

Dues for MEMBERS and AFFILIATE MEMBERS are $8.00 per year.
